Review: Pilot Metropolitan

Pilot Metropolitan - White Tiger version

I got the Pilot Metropolitan from Fook Hing. The version I have got is the animal print White Tiger version. The body is made of metal. The nib is just ever so lightly springy but it is definitely not a flex nib. Apparently I have got a very rare fine nib version of the Metropolitan. I got this at SGD$25 which includes a Pilot ink cartrdge and CON-20 converter. What value!

The pen cap can be posted but it makes the pen feel unbalanced. there is a huge step from the grip section to the barrel. It depends on where you hold your pen. In my case, my grip is right over the grip section so that doesn't bother me. However, if you have much bigger hands. I can see it posing a problem for some.

I enjoy the design of the pen. It looks really elegant and distinguished. It looks more expensive than it actually costs. The clip is slim and thin but it's more than enough to get the job done.

Pilot Metropolitan - White Tiger version

Pros:

  • Comes with the CON-20
  • Affordable
  • Metal body
  • Has a pen clip
  • Snap on cap

Cons:

  • Huge step at grip section
